Almost a year ago, my husband, Michael, & I became the owners of an orthodontic practice in the West Valley of Phoenix. Our business is called Share More Smiles, so naturally we are interested in collecting quotes about smiling.

The plan is to create our own graphics for the offices and other branded materials with quotes about smiling and other inspiring quotes. As the name suggests, Share More Smiles is about more than just straightening teeth; it is about sharing inspiration and positivity in the world.

Quotes About Smiling

One of my tasks has been to collect quotes about smiling as well as other inspiring quotes that we can use in the business. Some quotes I found on artwork at Hobby Lobby, and others I found by searching Google.

The graphic design part has been intimidating. Now that we have our logo, that really helped to narrow down the graphic part since we have a specific color and fonts to work with.

I created the below quote images using PicMonkey. I couldn’t help myself but to get a little crazy with the colors for my own entertainment (the blue is the real logo color). I have been playing around with quote art and using them to post to our Facebook page for now. Eventually the goal is to refine them and use them to spice up the offices and other branded items.

Graphic Design for the Non-Graphic Designer

I don’t know how to use Photoshop (yet), but have been using PicMonkey for years. As a complete beginner at graphic design with zero training, PicMonkey has been so awesome. I’ve used it for my blog, some minor designs for the business, and personal photo editing. I currently subscribe to the Royale membership (about $40 per year), but you can do a lot for free if you want to try it out.

They recently added a new feature called the Hub, in which you can save designs and come back to work on them later. This has been a lifesaver for me. I used to try to make sure my computer didn’t turn off (or crash) in the middle of a project. If it did, I would re-create the design from scratch because there was no way to save work and come back to it later.

That was probably my biggest complaint with PicMonkey. Now that it has been resolved, I can’t think of any reason not to use them. Oh, and I just discovered that they now have a mobile app! Life changer! What a great day!

Here are my top five quotes about smiling so far (the last one isn’t really a quote but I like it!):
