“You are powerful creators, you see. You’re not facers of reality. You’re creators of reality.” – Co-creating at its Best by Wayne Dyer and Esther Hicks
I jump at any opportunity to read a Wayne Dyer book. Co-creating at Its Best: A Conversation Between Master Teachers by Wayne Dyer and Esther Hicks is a transcript of a live event that they held in Anaheim, CA in 2013. The book is very short, less than 200 pages.
This book is a conversation between Wayne Dyer and “Abraham” of Esther and Jerry Hicks fame. For those who are unfamiliar, Esther Hicks is a channel for a collection of entities referred to as “Abraham” who speak through her.
After reading my first book by Esther Hicks, Ask and It Is Given (also Teachings of Abraham), I was excited to finally understand what this whole Abraham thing is all about. While some may find it “weird”, I find it quite pleasant and comforting. I was very excited to read a collaboration between two major spiritual influencers on the planet today.
Co-creating at Its Best is not really a Wayne Dyer book, but an Esther Hicks/Abraham book. Wayne Dyer is presenting questions to Abraham, and Abraham (speaking through Esther) responds.
During the first part of the book it felt like Wayne Dyer was asking a lot of questions on behalf of the larger audience that is his readers. Towards the end of the book, it was interesting when he got around to the hot topic issue of GMOs in food, something Wayne Dyer is passionately opposed to.
It was obvious that Dr. Dyer was upset about GMOs even as he was posing the questions, and Abraham had to reel him in for focusing on the issue with negative energy. He spoke about how 99% of the the watermelons on Maui (where he lives) are genetically modified. Abraham replied: then you must focus on how grateful you are for that 1% that is in its original, pure state.
“You create your own reality and you do so because the thoughts you are thinking cause you to emanate a vibrational frequency that the Law of Attraction is constantly responding to.”
This is how everything with Abraham goes. Esther and Jerry Hicks were the original Law of Attraction people, and it always comes back to Law of Attraction with anything they say. If an audience member has a question and says “but you don’t understand, this happened” or “this is how it is” Abraham always steers them to re-focus their energy on what they want rather than on what they don’t want.
I would read this book when I made time to read before going to bed at night, and it always made me feel excited again as I went to sleep about the power of my thoughts. It was a great reminder after days when I wasn’t focusing my thoughts and feelings on what I want of what I needed to change at the start of the next day.
I was a little bit surprised when I started reading this book that it was a transcript of a live event, only because every time I had seen the cover I assumed it was a regular book written by the authors. It was no less inspiring than any other Esther Hicks or Wayne Dyer book, and it was also nice to be able to get an insider peak at an event I would have liked to have attended.
Co-creating at Its Best is a great book for people who are already familiar with Esther Hicks and the Abraham teachings, and Wayne Dyer fanatics like myself. It’s a short, easy read that delivers sometimes entertaining and always inspiring messages.
